How do you build insulation and lining for varsity jackets in different climates?

Most varsity projects use lightweight woven taffeta or smooth polyester linings that slide easily over hoodies and knits, with quilting only where it is needed to control the fill. Fill weight is adjusted by climate, and we reinforce armholes, neck and placket so the lining stays attached and keeps its shape after repeated wear and washing.
