Relaxed & oversized
Your usual letter size may preserve the roomy silhouette. Check body length as well as chest width before deciding.
Compare reference measurements for ESSENTIALS T-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, sweatpants, shorts and outerwear. See garment dimensions in inches and centimeters and learn how to check the oversized fit.
Fear of God ESSENTIALS is known for relaxed proportions, dropped shoulders and boxy layering pieces. Letter sizes alone do not tell you how a piece will fit. Comparing actual garment width and length is a better way to judge a tee, hoodie or sweatpant before ordering.
The figures below are from independently published reference tables and are provided for comparison only. They are not one universal official size chart. Different releases, fabrics and garment shapes may have their own measurement specifications. Brands building original apparel can use these silhouettes as market references while creating independent graded sizes through VANRD OEM/ODM development.
Each measurement cell displays inches / centimeters on one line. Values are approximate references, not production tolerances or guarantees.
Reference measurements for a boxy T-shirt. “Chest width” is a flat side-to-side garment measurement, not the circumference of the wearer’s chest.

|---|---|---|---|---|
| XS | 21.7 / 55.1 | 26.8 / 68.1 | 21.3 / 54.1 | 7.9 / 20.1 |

Use the garment you already like as your baseline. A regular, oversized or cropped style can look very different despite sharing the same size letter.
Your usual letter size may preserve the roomy silhouette. Check body length as well as chest width before deciding.
Compare the size below your usual one, but ensure shoulder, length and sleeve proportions remain comfortable.
Lay a similar tee or hoodie flat, measure it, and compare equivalent points in the relevant chart.
Use a garment that already fits the way you want. Lay it flat without stretching the fabric, then measure the same points shown in the reference.
Measure straight across the front below the armholes. This is half-width, not the wearer's full chest circumference.
Measure vertically from the chosen neck/shoulder point to the hem; the reference must use the same point.
Measure across the shoulders, and from the shoulder seam to the cuff. Dropped shoulder designs may shift these points.
Check waist at rest, hip, outseam and hem opening. For elastic waists, confirm whether the stated range is body fit or garment stretch.
ESSENTIALS is a useful example of how silhouette can define a collection, but your brand needs an original size chart and approved patterns. VANRD supports fit development for custom oversized hoodies, boxy T-shirts, crewneck sweatshirts and relaxed sweatpants.

Many ESSENTIALS pieces are deliberately relaxed or oversized, especially hoodies, sweatshirts and T-shirts. Your usual size can preserve that intended volume; for a closer look, compare one size smaller against the measurements of a similar garment you already own.
No. These are independently compiled reference figures from the supplied reference material, with centimeters calculated from inches. Actual product-specific measurements from the seller or brand should take priority.
No. On the T-shirt, hoodie and outerwear tables, chest width describes the garment measured flat from side to side; chest circumference would be roughly twice that width for a simple flat measurement. Your body chest measurement is a different measurement entirely.
Do not assume identical letter sizes have identical finished garment dimensions. Compare chest width and body length for the exact style, then choose the silhouette you prefer.
Height and weight may give a rough starting point, but they cannot reliably determine fit without shoulder, chest and length proportions. Measuring a similar garment is more useful than relying on a generic height/weight chart.

Measurement note: The numerical tables are independently compiled reference measurements supplied for this guide, with cm equivalents converted from inch values (1 in = 2.54 cm) and rounded to one decimal. Some measuring conventions are not specified by the original source; they should not be used as a factory tech pack or purchasing guarantee.
