Work Jacket Styles — Chore / Barn / Utility / Detroit-Style Work Jackets

Choose from chore-style jackets with button/snap fronts and patch pockets, barn/field jackets with hand-warmer pockets,or hip-length Detroit-style silhouettes with heavy zippers and rib hem options. We also make hooded work jackets with quilt linings for colder climates. All blocks provide clean decoration zones and maintain easy reach and arm mobility for tasks like lifting, driving forklifts, or handling tools.

Work Jacket Shells & Trims — Duck Canvas, Heavy Twill & Corduroy

Our standard shellis duck canvas (10-12 oz for temperate,12-14 oz for rugged climates) with tight, abrasion-resistant weave.Alternatives include cotton twill, poly-cotton twill for better colorfastness, and denim for vintage looks. Collars can be self-fabric or corduroy. Finishes: enzyme/stone wash for a broken-in hand; DwR for water resistance; and garment dye or pigment dye for muted workwear tones. Hardware options include heavy-duty zippers, hidden storm flaps, metal snaps, rivet reinforcements, and reinforced hanging loops. We pre‑test pilling, seam slippage, colorfastness, zipper cycle and snap pull under an AQL plan to ensure daily durability.

Insulation & Lining — Quilting, Down‑Alt & Orange Reverse

Quilted taffeta (60–120 GSM) suits 3‑season wear. Down‑alternative adds loft without feather leakage and keeps the bomber profile crisp. Mesh/tricot linings reduce weight for L‑2B‑style shells. For heritage cues, orange reverse linings echo historic rescue visibility. We stabilize lining at stress points and tune quilting pitch to avoid cold spots and keep a clean interior.See Lining & Quilting Options

Reversible Builds — Two Looks, One Pattern

Reversible bombers use dual‑pull zippers, clean seam finishes, and clever label solutions so both faces stay premium. Colorways: classic sage - orange, or black- neutral for fashion lines. Print/embroidery is mapped for both faces to avoid telegraphing. Fabric selection considers hand feel and bulk to keep silhouette sharp either way.See Jacket Capabilities

Branding & Private Label — Clean, Durable Marks

We support screen print, DTF/heat transfer, embroidery, appliqué, and bonded logos. On coated nylon we specify low‑temperature ink systems and pre‑cure tests to avoid cracking. Private label packs (care/woven labels, hangtags, barcodes) can be color‑matched to shell and rib. Licensing: we do not reproduce protected military insignia or trademarks without authorization.Explore Branding & Label Options

Fits & Size Spec — Classic / Boxy / Oversized

Three fit blocks keep your line consistent: Classic (balanced rib heights), Boxy (shorter body, broader shoulder, fuller sleeve), and Oversized (elongated, dropped shoulders). Armhole mobility and rib recovery are verified in wash tests. Sizes XS–3XL standard; custom grading available.Request Work Jacket Size Spec

FAQs —Work Jacket Manufacturing

  • What is the difference between a canvas jacket and a canvas insulated jacket?

A canvas jacket usually refers to a jacket made with a durable canvas shell. It is often used for workwear, utility apparel, outdoor-inspired collections, and rugged casual styles.

A canvas insulated jacket includes additional warmth features, such as quilted lining, padding, or thermal layers. This makes it more suitable for cold-weather workwear, outdoor utility programs, and heavier seasonal collections.

From a manufacturing perspective, insulated styles usually require more development checks. Buyers should confirm shell fabric weight, lining type, insulation thickness, pocket construction, zipper or snap quality, comfort, movement, and bulk quality standards before production.

  • What should brands check before developing a custom work jacket?

Before developing a custom work jacket, brands should confirm shell fabric, lining, insulation, pocket layout, zipper or snap closure, cuff structure, hem structure, fit direction, branding placement, size chart, and expected order quantity.

Work jackets often require more attention to durability and structure than basic casual jackets. Canvas weight, lining type, pocket strength, seam construction, and closure quality can all affect the final product.

For private label work jacket programs, buyers should also confirm labels, patches, embroidery, zipper pulls, snap buttons, hangtags, and packaging before sampling. These details help the manufacturer review feasibility, cost, and production risks in advance.

  • What is your typical MOQ, sampling time and lead time for work jackets?
For OEM work jackets our starting MOQ is typically around 100 pieces per color and style, which can be adjusted for specific programs. Once fabrics, trims and specs are confirmed, development samples are normally ready in about 7–10 days, and we then share a clear bulk production and shipping schedule based on your quantity and destination.
  • What fits and size ranges do you offer for OEM work jackets?
Our work jacket fits are built to sit comfortably over hoodies and uniforms, with enough room in the shoulders and sleeves for lifting and reaching. Standard size runs can be adapted to your existing charts or local market needs, and we share base size specs so your team can review measurements before sampling.
  • Can you add branding and private-label details on work jackets?
We can add your branding by embroidery, screen print, DTF / heat transfer and woven or felt patches on chest, sleeve or back panels. At the same time we build full private-label packs with main labels, care labels, size tabs and hangtags, and we only apply third-party or licensed logos when you confirm that authorization is in place.
  • What insulation and lining options do you provide for different climates?
For cooler conditions we use quilted taffeta with fill weights in a practical GSM range, or flannel linings when you want a softer feel against shirts and hoodies. In milder climates we reduce fill or keep jackets unlined, so workers maintain mobility without overheating, and we secure linings at stress points to avoid sagging in long-term use.
